How to Play

All players must first make an ante bet in the appropriate bettingcircle. The dealer will then deal each player two cards face down from astandard 52 card deck. Three communitycards will also be placed face down in the areas marked 3rd Street,4th street, and 5th Street. Players must then look attheir cards to decide if they want to stay in the game or fold based on thestrength of their two card hand. If the player folds, he or she must slidetheir two cards face down toward the dealer, and the ante bet will becollected. (It’s important not to reveal the down cards to the dealer or theother players.) If the player continues play he or she may wager 1 to 3X theirante in the betting circle marked 3rd Street. The dealer then turnsover a 3rd Street community card, which can be used by all playerstoward their five card poker hand. This process is repeated for 4thstreet, and 5th street. Strategy

The key to keeping thehouse edgebelow 5% is to learn when andhow much to bet and when to fold. Here are some tips:

If you have a can’t lose hand with your initial two cards, i.e. at least a pairof 6’s, raise 3X on all three streetpositions right away. For example, if you’re at a five dollar minimum table, your total bet would be $45 plus the $5 ante. Remember, you cannot lose withthis hand. Your worst outcome will be a push. Bet 1X with any other hand.

After seeing 3rd Street, raise 3X with any pair of 6’s or higher, or any straight flush draw. Raise 1Xwith any flush draw, at least two face cards (Jack or higher), any one of threecards 6-10, or any three consecutive cards.

After seeing 4th Street, raise 3X with any push or paying hand, any four to a flush or straight, raise1X or fold with all other hands.

With the correct strategy and alittle bit of Lady Luck, this game can be profitable as well as entertaining.
